About Darling & Scholar

Darling & Scholar is inspired by the belief that curiosity and exploration go hand in hand. Through local pop-up book markets in Baltimore County and this Bookshop.org page, we create spaces for readers to explore new ideas, stories, and interests together.

At every market, you’ll find a special themed table highlighting a new topic or area of interest — an invitation to dive deeper, discover something unexpected, or follow a curiosity you didn’t know you had. Here on our Bookshop.org page, you can explore expanded versions of those themed tables through topic-specific reading lists, along with curated selections across many genres.

In partnership with the local community cooperative, a portion of our profits supports community programs and development. We also host special presales of goods from local makers ahead of each book market, encouraging you to shop local and support your community.
